There is Always The First Time

I live here in my little town for 7 years now. We like our road because it is off the main road and only the people live in this street drives down here. We have known our neighbors faces (not names) and we are fine with it. That means we get into less trouble that way. They may talk about us, but at least they don't know our names...:))

Around lunch today, I was surprised to hear a siren. I knew right away that it was close to us. The only siren I have heard before was from the highway tens of yards from our house. Plenty of them in the past. DH was browsing for local news this afternoon and found out that there was an accident behind our house around lunch time today. It was just outside our road. We didn't see it because we have about a few yards of trees behind our house. Thank goodness for that, the car may end up in our backyard if there are no trees back there.

Here is the news about it. I just wanted to add that we have drizzle all day long.

Social Network

I found a few of my cousin from a social network. Every time I see people with the same last name, I always send them messages asking where are their parents and grandparents are from. Most are very nice and willing to connect, but I came across one young man who screams like a third kind.

I was trying to figure out how to make a comeback comment, but he is not worth my time. (Though, it's worth blogging about...lol) It turns out his father came from the same place I came from. I came to a conclusion that his father was probably come from the cousins of mine who are boastful but nothing to boast about. I don't want to connect with them, so I dropped it and did not come up with a comeback when he said, "What gives you an idea that we are related?"

First of all, we have the same last name, (well my maiden last name). And he said the name of my province, and I am 99 percent sure that his parents or grandparents are related to me. I would like to see this young man's parents and grandparents and scold them myself. He got his nose up in the air or his head is full of hot air. This reminds me of my sister again. They both have the know it all genes in them. Ahh, family they are annoying.

Happy Birthday Big Brother & FIL

Happy Birthday

No wonder why my big brother and I never fought when we are little. I know I should not believe everything I read but this one I have proven correct. I am a Leo and my big brother is Aries. We value each others opinion and we don't need to speak the exact words and we understand each other.

I can say the same with DH and his father. They are not the best of friends but when they talk they can understand (may not agree on everything) but always meet in the middle with most issues.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOTH!!! I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST.

I'm Still Alive

Yes, I am just saying. I know no one care but hey, for the few who are stopping by here. Having a nicer weather does not keep me blogging these days. I have to spend time with the kids outside. Making sure no one is reporting them being alone out there to the social services.

Our kittens are exploring the house now. Their mother is not feeding them as much like before. Any day now, they will start eating and time to give them away. I can't believe we have to give them away. I wanted to keep them all if DH allows.

The male kitten is the most friendly of all. When we pick him up, all he does is sleep, and it does not matter if he is right side up, or upside down. He also likes to climb on our lap and sleep there.

The orange one is a female, that is most likely we are keeping. She likes to climb on our lap too and sleep there upside down. She does not like to be petted much, but when she can't get away, she takes a nap instead.

The gray one is another female, I don't like the fur on this one. She looks like she is always scared, she also likes to be held. The cream one, female, always hides, and we hardly play with because she is always hiding. They are all very playful at this age when they are awake.

That's it for today. Our home schooling always comes next to being outside. It's hard to keep the kids inside to do them. I found myself bargaining most of the time. Have a great week.

Happy Easter and Happy Birthday Dad

I have not really post about my fathers' birthday in the past, and I should start doing so. My parents called me last night to greet my family to have a "happy Easter". I'm just talking and talking and then he mentioned his birthday.

Kittens1Yea, duh I forgot again. I still have an excuse because it's only Saturday where I am, and his birthday is not until Sunday. Yes, it was already Sunday in their side of the world.

Kittens2We had a little get together today. I was not expecting many will come but you know, every time I cook for small amount of people there are always many to come. I hate eating left overs and boy, I can tell you there is no left over...lol. I so embarrass that I stayed out of everyone's way while they are eating. I have more food but its not cook and in addition still frozen. I can't tell them to hold on while I thaw or cook something.

Kittens3Our kittens are getting so big. They are starting to wander off the bedroom, and they play a lot more this week. I just can't seems to part with them. Why can't we keep them all DH? I know you already told me but they are just too cute to part with. Two of them likes to climb on my lap and sleep. Nothing is so relaxing with kittens sleeping on your lap while stroking their furs.

I have a continuing program of research (What mother doesn't?) in the laboratory and in the field (normally I would have said indoors and out). I'm working for my Masters, (the whole darned family) and already have five credits (four sons & one daughter, 1 joined the working community, 4 were educated @ home ). Of course, the job is one of the most demanding in the humanities (any mother care to disagree?), and I often work 14 hours a day (24 is more like it). But the job is more challenging than most run-of-the-mill careers, and the rewards are more of a satisfaction than just money."
