Taken from our veranda (new house) last night while waiting for DH friend to come. Canon PowerShot A400, zoomed at 7.0x. Harvest moon.


This pictures was taken a few minutes from each other. You can see how far the moon raise from the horizon within a few minutes.

Many creatures to see at our new property. This grasshopper was at the front porch.


As well as this snake. My children was playing with this crawler...eeek!


I saw this one while checking my new one acre farm land to be. These grass are higher than my knees. And yes, that is a mantes.

Thick canopy makes the brick house cool inside. However, I don't like because it's way too dark below for my liking and mushrooms grows underneath.


Around our new property, North side neighbors and what not.


We can see mountains around us.

"I'm a Research Associate in the field of Child Development and Human Relations. I have a continuing program of research (What mother doesn't?) in the laboratory and in the field (normally I would have said indoors and out). I'm working for my Masters, (the whole darned family) and already have five credits (four sons & one daughter, 1 joined the working community, 4 were educated @ home ). Of course, the job is one of the most demanding in the humanities (any mother care to disagree?), and I often work 14 hours a day (24 is more like it). But the job is more challenging than most run-of-the-mill careers, and the rewards are more of a satisfaction than just money."
