My Eyes Has Sinned Me

I don't go out much to just window shop and look at people passing by. Well, it happened last Thursday when DH picked his new prescription glasses. After our kids class, we went to WalMart to pick it up. And while we are waiting for DH people went about their own business as I am.

There were only 2 people in front of him waiting to pick up something. I think we waited a good 45 minute, and finally it was his turn. While waiting to get fitted and making sure nothing is wrong with his glasses, people started to pile up. I can't help but judge this person on how they dress and wear their hair. What do I expect, it's WalMart for drying out loud.

It was a nice day but nice enough, unless you are from Alaska or North Pole vacationing in my area. Tights with spaghetti strap, a see through top with black bra, and high heels. She was pushing a baby on a stroller and 3 other kids tagging along. Ok, so she is smaller thinner than me but come on, after a few kids you bound to have some loose skins around your belly. The only thing missing is white panty, and she will have the whole (trash) package.

Oh, Yahweh/Yeshua forgive me, my eyes had sinned me. I just needed to let it out.

Look! Look!

They are definitely getting bigger every day. Yesterday was the very first day I can play with them. They roll around on their backs and when we tickle their bellies, they are trying to scratch us. We had so much fun watching them bite to play each other.

Just like I mentioned before there are only two kittens that have somewhat close eyes. The other two are already open and walking around wobbly. This is me holding one of them today while my YDS took the picture.

This is the youngest (the last one born) and the very first one who open its eyes. They complain for a bit when they are first picked up. However, after a while they just sleep while being held.

And here are all four of them. DD is still asking on "why" do we have to give them away. Anyway, who wants a kitten? If you are close enough you can pick up one on the 3rd week of April.

Randomness

Our kitten eyes are almost open after 1 week and 3 days. We are started to pick and pet them. They actually complain every time we pick them up. They just need to get use to being petted. Mommy's cat is spending too much time outside with the kids and the kittens don't complain much. They just sleep and sleep when their mommy is away.

DH is away again for the whole weekend. He will be back early tonight after the rally in Harrisburg. He called me this morning, and he wanted me and the kids to meet him there. I rather put away a month worth of laundry than driving 2 hours and a half with the kids and away from the house. If I can go by myself, I will in a heartbeat. However, being out with the kids is another story. They are getting bigger but not big enough to understand that we are going there to support the rally, which they need to be quiet and stand for a long time.

Our week has been very nice. I skimmed leaves off our aboveground pool yesterday while the kids are playing outside. They are all asking to go in it, but after I showed them how dirty it was, they all opt not to get in it. Plus, I bet the water is very cold.

I rinse off all of their snow boots, and I am washing their snow suits right. I can finally hide them and my house will have one season clutter put away. Now, all of their rain boots are bringing all kinds of mud in my house. I can't wait for that one to be over too.

We finally got a second hand VCR. Now, they watch all of our VHS tapes that were put away for nearly 3 years. I am a little surprised on how much we got. We also have some more CVD's that we haven't seen for a while. And since we are having a nice weather, we will be outside more often now. We can save some electric bill too. I am sooo glad for the nice temperature.

My kids have one more week before their spring break. DS in 3rd is having a PSSA practice from last week and this week. One school is already asking to re-enroll my kids. DH suggested waiting a little because something big might come out of the health care bill from the congress, and cyber schooling may add other more hoops to jump into. I told him that we can report that we are moving instead, and do traditional home school and not report anything. However, with this government that will only last for a short time, and we are sure they will come after us and lose the kids in the process. Which hell comes if we let them. We are trying to play by the rules as much as our belief allows. What is the point of traditional home schooling if the government will be all over it? Big government sucks big time.

Looking at the Sky on Friday

We are having such a nice temperature this week and I think this is a good time to start taking pictures outside. And here is my very first spring picture for this year. My children are bugging me about the pool already. I feel like letting them in it to feel how cold the water is in there. Geez, I'm still trying to get use to the warmer weather (60's this week) and they wanted to go swimming already.

I'm loving it, how about you? Have a great weekend everyone, I know I will (cleaning the pool this weekend too )...lol.

Life of Ours Update

DH finally went out to see the eye doctor. Like I mentioned before his prescription glasses are all ruined by our kids. He refuses to go because he thinks his eyes will go back the way it was used to be when he stops using his glasses. I told him a long time ago that it will not. Well, guess what, who is right now?

I don't have any idea how he is driving home now from his appointment. They usually dilate his pupils when doing the examination. I can attest that he is blind a bat at daytime. He may be looking at you, but he can't even see you. You can make faces at him, and he doesn't even know anything about it.

He is actually out with our daughter looking for some movie to borrow from the library. Then he decided that he can buy a cheap VHS player to watch the tons of VHS movies we have. One of our little ones stuck a banana peel inside the last player we had, and we threw it away. I think we are without one for 2 or 3 years now. We have DVD player under the TV and with the computers but no VHS player.

We Have Kittens

I am soooo sleepy right now. Molly our cat was on labor since around 10pm last night. I think every time she get a contraction she meow loudly and keep coming on our bed. And I am very light sleeper, and wakes me up every time. Plus, I don't want her to drip anything on my bed. I have to get her off my bed and into her spot, which she never used.

I was awaken by my DD around 2:30am telling me that Molly is having her babies. I woke up so fast, and by the time I got upstairs I got so dizzy and past out on a very cold floor. Then a minute later I woke up, asking myself where I am and I felt very cold.

I went back downstairs and sleep for a few minutes. I heard DD talking to the cat again, and this time I finally woke up and stayed up until the cat was done having kittens. She had two kittens in one side of the room, and finished the other two on the other side. I had to keep the other two for about an hour, and when the cat was done drying the last two, I moved the first two next to her. She was feeding all of them when I went back to bed around 4am.

It works fine because yesterday and today my 3rd grader (who got sick yesterday after school) and DD (1st grader) don't have school yesterday and today. So, I don't really have to teach them today. My K in the other hand is in the different school have school all week.

I want to go back to bed...:( I am sleep deprived today. I We have for 4 cute kittens.

Affordable Prescription Eyeglasses

There are a lot of us who probably heard about the cheap eyeglasses at Zenni optical. However, did anyone of you try getting one from them yet? My family will soon find out what is the hoopla is about. You can call me frugal, but hey, you have to be these days. I can't see in the future. However, I am very careful about everything. My husband will need a new prescription glasses every year, and we can do so with our budget using Zenni optical. From $8 to $40 a pair with $4.95 shipping charge, no matter how many pairs we buy.

You are probably asking how they can sell it in such a low price. Very simple, they don't have a middle man, and it is possible to get quality eyeglasses at Zenni optical. You can read Eric's review right here; http://www.examiner.com/x-28795-Brooklyn-Liberal-Examiner~y2009m11d13-Cheap-eyeglasses-are-a-reality-Check-out-Erics-review-of-Zenni-Optical. I do agree that eyeglasses don't have to cost a fortune. Yes, prescription eyeglasses are very important for my husband. Without it, he can't see any small print like a report. He can get an eye exam locally and simply send the information to Zenni. Of course he still needed to fill up some paper works, but that is worth it.

Sunday Surprise

It was the weekend and we all take our time waking up. It was our lazy day. Around 8am DH got a call that his parents are coming to visit. And he was also told that his one sister is coming over to surprise her 19 year old daughter for her birthday. I was making cinnamon rolls when DH told me. I was still in my pajamas, and I told them to start cleaning up.

Two hours later my PIL came while I was still cleaning the foyer. MIL said don't worry about being messy, they don't mind. Yes, that would be fine if they are the only people coming. However, we are expecting other people. Anyway, the day was a typical day for DH and his mother. Arguing about stuff that they both do not agree. MIL saying that other people have different take about right or wrong and DH flip out. I am with DH, I don't care what your views in life, right and wrong is right and wrong.

For example, you are cheating to your partner. Do you think it is right? Even if your partner does not know anything about it, it is still wrong. However you look at it (upside down, right side up, backwards, forwards, being sarcastic here), it is still wrong. Well, with my MIL mind it is ok. Oh my, I always say that DH is 99% just like his mother, now I take it back. And he'd better not turned like his mother.

Another thing, we all found out this weekend that his parents are sick. They were both ex-smokers and it turns out that they have COPD. I will not go into details about it but, my sister in laws new husband says that his mother had that before passing. I don't really know how long she last after using an oxygen tank. DH and I both agree that we saw his father using one. We are not really sure when we saw it but we both agree that we saw it.

DH oldest sister broke the news over the weekend to his middle sister and this middle sister told us yesterday. My PIL was having the gasping cough for a long time now (since I knew them) and the doctor finally found what was wrong with him after all these years. My MIL in the other hand, don't have any symptom at all but tested positive also.

I don't really know how DH feel about all of this. I asked him but all I got was "I'm ok". I know we are not the best of friends, but I am his wife. He can tell me anything. He was playing a game right after everyone left yesterday. This is his way on dealing with the stress. I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to tell the truth on how he feels about the news.

He will be away again next weekend, at least his not at home to think about it. He will be busy talking with other people and no time to think about family issues.

What A Great Day

Our temperature went up to 48°F today. The little ones are out most of the time wearing short pants and short sleeves shirts. They are so happy having a warm weather. DD was talking about swimming already, mind you our pool is still frozen. Not to mention that we still have about 2 or 3 inches of snow on the ground.

Yes, I know. You think with that kind of temperature the snow should be all melted however, not quite. Maybe a few more days just like today we will not have snow anymore. How is the weather where you are? I know the tropic is always warm, and where I came from is already summer.

Have a great weekend!

Yes, I'm In

I tried my hardest not to be part of another social network, did I mention hard? Hmm, it lasted for two years, yes, now I am in it. I opened my account on Monday, and I already have 6 family members (not including my DH and ODS) in my friend lists. I saw that my brother in law in CA is there too. I don't ask them to add me (they can add me if they wanted), I only do it to my nieces and nephew, because I know they will never add their Aunt on their lists. I am still waiting for 4 of them to respond. Then I also have many cousins, like first, second, third and so on (once, twice, thrice removed). By the end of this year, I think I'm going to have plenty.

Finally, I Got Hold of Them

Oh my, I can't get a hold of anyone back home. I told my parents last week that I will call again to give them the reference number for the cash I will send. They called me on Saturday, and I told them to call me back this passed Saturday (the end of February). I got a text telling me to call them back right away on Saturday night around 11pm. I have no way of calling them because I was sleeping, and it was a text, and I did not hear my phone rang. I really don't mind calling, but they are always out of signal.

Well, finally I got a hold of them yesterday, after I called my sister in law, my Aunt, then my brother who is, by the way, working. Mind you, I forgot his extension, and I have to tell the receptionist who he works under. So, I was talking to his boss for good three minutes, telling me how good my brother and how trustworthy he is. I do feel bad because I know I can call him directly without his boss knowing it. However, he was fine with it, as soon as I told him I am his sister, and he already knew that I am calling overseas.

Anyway, I few minutes later my mother called, telling me to call her back because she didn't have much load, and she will not go to town to get some until this weekend. She told me the story about the text she sent (via my sister). It turns out my sister in law has a little signal in her house and text can go through. So, next time I have to contact them, all I have to do is text my sister in law, and she will relay the message. They used to have a signal with their antenna, but since they got the antenna, then a typhoon came and after that there was no more signal.

Have I mentioned that I hate calling them, not that I don't want to talk to them but it is very hard to connect. Argh...

Dual Flush Toilet

We do not have public water, or public sewer, and we love it. I know not everyone is fond of doing things on their own but the is the beauty why we like it. We do not waste anything however, when we have to pick between our family and natural resources, the natural resources have to go first. Natural resources is given to us by the high Almighty and we use it with care.

One thing we can do to save money to pump out our sewer system is buying a dual flush retrofit kit. There are seven of us in our household and the water sometimes does not sink into the ground fast enough during winter months. Yes, this also is added to our to do list for our house. I wish we got our house made but not all of us can afford a build house according to what we like.

Since we have an old house, we can easily change the flusher or just simply buy new Dual Flush Toilets, to replace the one that came with the house. Then I don't have to worry about all of us filling up our our sewer so much. This is also a perfect site for those of you who are into eco-friendly dual flush toilet, and save money the way we will.
