Peace Corps Day

The Peace Corps traces its roots and mission to 1960, when then Senator John F. Kennedy challenged students at the University of Michigan to serve their country in the cause of peace by living and working in developing countries. From that inspiration grew an agency of the federal government (which by the way is taking over American peoples lives) devoted to world peace and friendship (more likely taking control of every country, don't disagree you know it's true. Do your homework).

The mission of the Peace Corps are to help the people of interested countries in meeting their need for trained men and women. To promote a better understanding of Americans on the part of the people served and to promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans. (why is this control by the federal government? this should be from American people to other people of the world. not by a company name federal government. It has nothing to do with the government, it's only a name, same as federal express.)

Life of Ours Author

Mrs. Cheers, Keystone USA

"I'm a Research Associate in the field of Child Development and Human Relations. I have a continuing program of research (What mother doesn't?) in the laboratory and in the field (normally I would have said indoors and out). I'm working for my Masters, (the whole darned family) and already have five credits (four sons & one daughter, 1 joined the working community, 4 were educated @ home ). Of course, the job is one of the most demanding in the humanities (any mother care to disagree?), and I often work 14 hours a day (24 is more like it). But the job is more challenging than most run-of-the-mill careers, and the rewards are more of a satisfaction than just money."
