Seven Year Old DS Took The Placement Test

He is only starting second grade and needed to do a placement test for home school program. It is very hard not to teach him how to pronounce some words. But I try so hard not to, because they needed to know where he stand on reading. Same goes with math.

I am used to helping all my DC's with everything and the reading test was killing me while he was doing it. I think we bought did a pretty good job. Hoping that would be enough to get him started. Now I only need to wait for the medical form signed by their doctor. Then I can mail all the paper works out and hopefully get them started on the second week of October.

I am still feeling really scared about the home school thing. Hoping for a better turn out. I don't really want them to go back to regular school.

Mrs. Cheers, Keystone USA

"I'm a Research Associate in the field of Child Development and Human Relations. I have a continuing program of research (What mother doesn't?) in the laboratory and in the field (normally I would have said indoors and out). I'm working for my Masters, (the whole darned family) and already have five credits (four sons & one daughter, 1 joined the working community, 4 were educated @ home ). Of course, the job is one of the most demanding in the humanities (any mother care to disagree?), and I often work 14 hours a day (24 is more like it). But the job is more challenging than most run-of-the-mill careers, and the rewards are more of a satisfaction than just money."
