Claimed 100 Percent

Apparently, my MIL is the whole reason why we have a very curious little daughter, who wanted to learn about everything and anything she lays her eyes on. DH and I have nothing to do at all about her personality. (eyes rolling) She can't wait for someone else to praise her on what she did for her. The more I know here the more I'm starting not liking her.

She was our baby sitter on the first six-month of life, let's make that four months of her life. I went back to work when she was 2 or 3 months old. Mind you, she refused to change her clothes because I do not put it out and tell her which clothes she needs to wear for that day. I told showed her which drawers are her but her argument was she don't want to go on someone else drawers. So, she rather left her soaking yet clothes the whole day while I was at work.

I will agree that she talked a lot to the kids, but how much will they learn from that age? She also claimed that she always held her everywhere she goes, and oh that's why she (DD) feel off the couch a few times. She said that she turned away for a second and the next thing she heard was a boomed. Yea right, I bet her that she totally forgot about her on the couch, and I remind her not to leave her on it. Just put her on the floor where she can roll and do whatever and not to worry about falling.

I also hated it when she feed her and not even bothering holding her in her arms. She just put a pillow under her head and let the poor kid try sucking on air because she doesn't know how to hold a baby bottle yet the correct way. She hardly wiped her face after eating and has dry milk all over her face when I get home in the afternoon. She held her like she is holding a 1 year old kid. I would think that you will hold a baby so delicately.

I know this whole post is pathetic, I feel despair because she was claiming that she was the perfect sitter. She was also claiming that home schooling was not an option when her kids are little. Did she even watched the old show that the kids never went to school and their mother's are the one responsible for their education? How can she claim that she doesn't know about it? What I think is she refuses to get stuck with her kids while her husband was at work. And every summer she sent her kids away in some camp and claimed that she wrote them a letter everyday and reminded them on how much she misses them. Oh my the lies, and she also claimed to be very religious. So, white lies are not a sin for her. We all know that every mother/parents can educate their own kids at home, then and now.

DH and I just let it go because we are afraid that his father will hear all of it if we make her mad. We always thought of her as missing some screws and arguing to her about stuff like that will make her loss some more. Why is it so hard to for people to understand the right and wrong. It depends on an individual is not suffice. Wrong is still wrong and right is still right however you present it, isn't it? Just thinking about the whole thing is making my back hurt again, ugh.

Life of Ours Update

Can I just say "brrrr" today? When I woke up my PC this morning it was 13°F. Around noon, I saw my weather again it reads 11°F. I would think that having the sun out it should be warmer and now at almost 8pm it reads 9°F! It is single digit right now outside of my house and very windy. I also wanted to say that we finally turn on our propane heater downstairs in our master bedroom. We have a water bed, and we are only using the heater with the water bed to keep us warm since late October. It sure saved us, two tank fillings and that is about $700.

I drag my DD out in the cold this afternoon to return the DVD I borrowed from the library last Thursday. I was looking for the pilot of "Little house on the prairie" but they don't have it. I just grab the oldest one I could find that day. While there I grabbed 4 other DVD's to watch while we are on vacation. The catching up thing with DD is not working. Instead of stressing about it, I just let it go. I needed rest and vacation and DH agree that we should take some time off. And here I am, updating my blogs.

DD and YDS had a doctor appointment yesterday, different time. DD was in the morning and YDS in the afternoon, in different offices. I like doing their appointments when there are no classes. I don't like stopping and going somewhere in the middle of our lessons. We always end up finishing late when we go somewhere. It also helps that DH is home for the winter. He can always bring any of them on their appointments, and I can stay home to teach the others.

Oh yes, I made my very first homemade pizza. DH said that it needed more sauce and cheese. The next time I make one I'll make sure that I put enough sauce and cheese in them. Now I need to work with my cinnabon. I wanted to accomplish this two things before we go back to school on January 4th. I have finished one and one more to go. Wish me luck!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas
I did not join the sky watch today because there is not much where I am today. Pretty gray sky and there is no texture at all. Days like these make me wish to celebrate my Christmas in the tropic. Only SIL and her husband came to visit today. No big dinner with all the trimmings. My kids and DH has been eating sweets since this morning. I guess that is the best way to get rid of all the sweets I made.

I'll be taking a nap pretty soon, enjoy the rest of your Christmas. And enjoy the family today.

Last Day of School

My two cyber schoolers last day is today. They will be off until January 3rd. Then my ODS last day is tomorrow along with my kindergartners in another cyber school. We will not actually getting off but I will now change the schedule until next week. I will give them some days off this week but I will still do some lessons with them. Mostly the core lessons to go ahead and to catch up with DD. She needed at least 130 hours to catch up.

I plan on teaching her 5 core lessons a day. Maybe two math lessons and the other three will be Language arts and Phonics. For my 3rd grader will be 1 lesson a day from the core subjects. And my Kinder will also be 1 lesson a day between phonics, LA and FastForWord. He got some writing to do that is due when he return on January 4th and that would be part of our daily lessons too.

With the schedule above, I'm hoping we have plenty of time to go to the library and watch movie together as a family for a week and a half. Not to mention that they will probably go out a lot and play on the snow and slide down our little hill. And hubby is home most of the time, family togetherness even for a short period of time is always a plus. I may even bake some cinnabon from scratch. I really wanted to try to make my own this time with a homemade pizza too.

Ok, I think that is plenty enough for our Christmas vacation. I also planning on resting most of the time. So, we will see...lol.

Working Outside in the Storm

Yes, we have another snow storm today. It started early in the afternoon, the grocery stores are packed again this morning when I went out. I tried to get out there early to beat the rush but they all have the same idea to come out early too. I hate shopping when the grocery stores are crowded. I can't take it.

DH is out making some money from the storm. He will not come home until it is over and every customer is plowed. I packed him, some snacks and plenty of coffee. The coffee will not be enough but Wawa is everywhere and open 24 hours. He also bought a water proof boot today to stay warmer.

He will be very tired when he gets done and probably will sleep all day tomorrow. Yes, someone has to shovel and plow snow. And one of them is DH. Keep warm DH. The bad thing about it, our driveway is always the last one to get plowed because he does it when he gets home.

Early Christmas Greeting

With about ONE week before Christmas

REMEMBER: Jesus is Better than Santa

Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year
JESUS is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies
JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited
JESUS stands at your door and knocks.. and then enters your heart.
You have to stand in line to see Santa
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly
JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO
JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa says "You better not cry"
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.
Santa's little helpers make toys
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.
It's obvious there is really no comparison.
We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.
We need to put Christ back in Christmas.
Jesus is still the reason for the season.

May the Creator Bless and Watch over you and your loved ones this Christmas 2009
And may He prosper and bless the work of your hands in the New Year.

We Told The Kids The Truth

I know plenty of parents will not agree to what we did but hey we may as well start while they are young. Not to mention I can care less what other parents does about the whole celebration in about nine days.

Our oldest is nine years old and our youngest is three. We both know that the youngest one will never understand but, we both know he will catch on. We (DH and I) that we will not celebrate Christmas with a Santa Claus. We like them to know that Christmas is not about gifts, Santa, and Christmas Tree. Rather as a celebration when our Savior was born. We still have gifts for them but not gifts from Santa anymore. But gifts from us because we like them to have it.

I was never brought up to believe about Santa and gifts anyway. I rather have my old tradition put into works with ours. DD already opened one of her present and all my boys wanted to wait until Christmas to open theirs. Yes, we gave them a choice to open the gifts early or wait.

I was brought up to go to church early Christmas morning. We always have plenty of food and delicacies to munch on. And what I like the most was visiting every family member to catch up on things, chats, singing Christmas Carols and just simply hanging out (and eating...lol). Meeting plenty of cousins (2nd, 3rd, 4th, and so on). Listening to old people telling stories way back when, on how they survive not having technology and other things that we can't live without now a days. Common law was widespread back then.

I want my kids to at least appreciate what they have now and to learn to be grateful. I don't want them to grow up believing with none-sense that was brought up by the corporation to earn money. We are not religious and we don't have religion but we believe in spirituality. We believe in the bible and we don't like calling "God" god because it spells Dog backwards. We call them our "Creator or the High Almighty". Bible has been written so many times and we think that someone somewhere trying to sabotage the name of our Creator. Then we come to the word LIVE, and you know what that means when written the other way.

Why did GOD become DOG and the bad become LIVE? What are they trying to say with this words? That GOD is and will always act like dogs and the EVIL will and always be LIVELY/LIVING and live forever? I refused to acknowledge the two, I believe the CREATOR and the High Almighty.

A Lot of People Still Doesn't Know

DH and I was very surprise that one of his friends still doesn't know about the "global warming" was/is a hoax. We are pretty sure that they will come up of something next to get other people believe in it. DH knew all about this since it started a long time ago. Even his mother who is somewhat awake talks about this thing that she never likes people cutting trees. Ok, tree lover what do you have to say now. Well, that is what I call her inside my head. I can't really answer back to her because I feel bad for her husband. When she gets going/arguing about these things she gets mad at him, and he will hear it all the way to their house and even until they go to sleep.

Are people these days needing something to believe in and are so brain wash that they can't think for themselves? They believe so many lies, and they also spread such lies. And I bet you they will still argue that the North Pole is still melting. Do you mean that the North Pole or South Pole should stay frozen forever? Our world is very old and climate change so much. Did you get it, "IT CHANGES EVERYDAY"? Go right ahead and take care of our environment, but don't you ever tax me for it.

CARBON TAX my behind. We need carbon dioxide to inhale oxygen, do you know that? Without carbon dioxide, there will be no oxygen. Get over it people, if you really want something to believe in, try believing the high power, the high Almighty, the creator, the common law. Then only then you can talk to me about what you believe.

What A Sunday Morning

My youngest DS woke up around 5:30 in the morning. I don't blame him because he went to bed on time which was around 8:00pm last night. I always bring him to the bathroom right after waking up. Then I tried putting him back to sleep. Oh, did I mention I have a headache when I woke up? Yes, I drunk plenty of water and I tried going back to sleep.

Now it is 10:20 am my headache is just starting to go away. After water I drunk some coffee or maybe I should eat breakfast too. However, I am not hungry at this point. It did not help either that DH can not function in the morning when our kids asked him to get something for them. I tried not to talk too much when I have a pounding headache and he never like it. Everything he needs to do have to run to me first and asked me how to do it.

This will fall into a frustration in my side. Did I mention he can not function without consulting me first. Trying not to think too much does not work because of what I mention above. He lives here and the way it's going he does not know where everything is and he does not like looking for it without talking. The way he is doing things, it just added more to my headache.

How can a mother with a headache or even a sick mother can have a peace and quiet? Don't ask me, I can never figure that out yet. Maybe if I place myself on the roof of the house with the 25°F weather outside will do it. Instead of him cooking me breakfast I have to do it myself. Isn't being a queen of my household great. My household can not function without me. I wonder what he will do if I drop dead one day. Go out and find a replacement right away I guess.

It's Snowing

It's snowing here today. No one is coming to my 9 year old birthday party. DH is also glad because he is not working for anyone because of the event. However, I guess we can order pizza and have a party just for the whole family. Who needs other people when there are seven of us...lol.

Anyway, here is my forecast today. This is not my exact location because I can't find one. This one is about 45 minutes away from me. However, we are having snow too.

Looking at the Sky on Friday

What a day, my photobucket account exceeded its bandwidth and all of my blogs were very messy yesterday. I had to delete all, well most of the image links and start over again. Anyway, most of them are up and running as usual now. But let me tell you they are pain in my behind. Thanks goodness for CSS this blog was not affected much.

So, here is my Sky Watch images for today. The second image I captured the sun coming up this morning and there is an airplane (white line up in the sky) too (click the 2nd image to enlarge). I just saw it when I view the picture in my computer.

Happy 9th Birthday

Wow, how time fly. This was him when he was 1 year old. He was born two weeks early. I was on labor for 11 and 1/2 hours with him. I was home the whole 11 hours thinking I was having false labor. Half hour spend driving to Hackettstown Hospital and as soon as they put me into the labor and delivery room he came out about 10 minutes later. He was born very close to December 3rd. He had to stay for a week after he was born in the hospital and so much doctors appointment within the first month. Everything went well and this picture was the proof.

DS#2 @ 1And this one is taken just a few minutes ago. He did make the cut off date in school that is why he is still in 3rd grade. Other kids who are born in 2000 is already in 4th grade. I really don't mind because he is little for his age. Not to mention me and DH are little too. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR JR.

DS#2 now
BTW, he is requesting not to do school today because it's his birthday. I kept telling him that when he used to go to our local school he still goes to school on his birthday. I think he just wanted not to do anything today.

Mrs. Cheers, Keystone USA

"I'm a Research Associate in the field of Child Development and Human Relations. I have a continuing program of research (What mother doesn't?) in the laboratory and in the field (normally I would have said indoors and out). I'm working for my Masters, (the whole darned family) and already have five credits (four sons & one daughter, 1 joined the working community, 4 were educated @ home ). Of course, the job is one of the most demanding in the humanities (any mother care to disagree?), and I often work 14 hours a day (24 is more like it). But the job is more challenging than most run-of-the-mill careers, and the rewards are more of a satisfaction than just money."
