Weekend Update "In This Life of Ours"

Almost like a week update that is. What a week! Two days of school, then house cleaning most of the time. SIL new husband and two of her kids came to our Thanksgiving Dinner. Too much food for only 9 adult. Wasted and went to the garbage. I wish I can cook something for thanksgiving that I know everyone will eat. But since it was thanksgiving I have to make the traditional meal which half of the attendees never liked to begin with. MIL ate a spoonful of yam and the smallest piece of turkey she could get her hand on.

Friday morning DH tried his luck with the flat TV on sale at Target but came home empty handed because he saw the parking lot packed. We bought one online instead along other stuff we wanted. The items have free shipping and we don't even have to fight the crowds of hungry buying people and most likely will charge everything they got on black Friday or all the gifts for Christmas.

Saturday was fun, fellow political friends came with food and I don't have to cook anything. I kinda feel bad when they started cleaning up my kitchen. Some of them forgot food and containers, they will get it back (containers) when we see each other again. I got to know most of ladies and had talk to them longer this time. One of them use to live where I used to work. I thought she lives more North, since she don't want to tell me where she live at earlier meetings. We are all pretty conservative about everything however, we don't call ourselves that. We past that stage and we are way, way to the right now.

Sunday my family went to get some raw milk again (our second time) at the farm our friend told us two weeks ago. We also bought 2 dozen brown eggs, I'm hoping we can finish it for a week to give him a regular business once a week. We would like him to stay in business because we take his word and our friend word that they are using all natural feeds for the animals. Grass feed for cows, milked twice a day only and they don't empty the milk sacs when they do it. Free range chickens with natural feeds. The only missing for him to be called organic is the papers. He is not willing to pay a hefty price for a piece of paper. I don't blame him, if I have a farm I will do it either.

School day again, this holidays will mess up our schedule and my kids will be in vacation mode (again) until January. I will try not to think of it too much because I have enough stress to deal with. More shopping to do online for free shipping. The items that we can't get a free shipping have to be bought in the store. I hate shopping this time of year and I don't like shopping early just to hide the gifts.

Anyway, I think that is long enough update. No one reads this posts so I better shut up now...:P Have a great week everyone.

Looking at the Sky on Friday

I took this on Tuesday while my kids are outside playing. I was supposed to pick up my ODS from his chess practice but my mini-van's battery was dead. Remember I mentioned on Sunday going to the new known farmer? Yup, when we got back DH was lighting a cigarette before getting out of the van and he forgot to turn the key to off. Yes, we leave our car keys inside the car. No the car was not running but radio and other things can run without turning the engine on. I could not even hear any click meaning the battery was dead-dead. Anyway, here are sky photos while I was watching DC outside.

Half MoonBelow is my very first airplane captured on camera. This time they are passing closer than before and I was able to take a picture of about 10 of them while outside. They all look the same and I picked this one for this entree. Please click the pictures to see the airplane and half moon better.

AirplaneDid anyone of you lined up at your local store to buy something this morning? I can never do it, I hate the crowds and I will never run over someone just to get what I wanted. I have no patience and I think I will get into a fight when someone pass me in line.

We Are Officially on Thanksgiving Vacation

We are home and not going anywhere. My kids was so excited today because our last day of school for this week. They all wake up early and even started by themselves and went through the optional lessons. I love it, I only have to work a little with their lessons today. They even did their hand writing with out me reminding them to do it. They are good to me today.

DH and I tackled the kitchen, living room and dining over the weekend and he did a great job too. He did the hard stuff and I did the re-arranging part. The only thing need cleaning is the bathrooms, however one organize bathroom will be find.

The classroom need some arranging too. I bet my kids will have to show all the other kids where they go to school. I need to organize it, and put everything where they belong.

Ok, I need a nap if I can and I have to start organizing and of course our dinner tonight. I better start early to finish early and get to bed on time and start early again tomorrow. Is your turkey in the fridge yet? You better take it out of the freezer and put it into the fridge. You may have to cook a frozen turkey if your don't. Then again if you have a fresh one you don't have to worry about it.

Do you have everything you need? I don't like shopping for anything this time of year. I think everyone comes out and every store is very crowded not to mention parking lots are full. And the wait to check out is moving very slow. Hopefully I got everything I need, if not I will have to send DH out and go to a very crowded stores.

Ok, that's it for today. My body is yearning for a nap, right now. However, I have to do other things before I can rest. Have a great Thanksgiving Holiday and make sure you spend some time with your family. Family is always there to help out when you needed it, eventhough we don't like how they live their lives, they are still part of us.

Thank you everyone!

They Are Disappearing

I am talking about good farmers in my area. First our friend who sells us raw milk and organic beef. Then the state made him quit because they are asking too many things to be certify. Now, he moved away and started working for someone else instead. He is glad because he don't have to deal with government officials telling him what to do and how to do it. We would gladly take the cows from him but we don't have a big place to pasture it.

We were buying raw milk from a farm that is not organic. Plus they mass produce their milk and not even close to our friends raw milk. It made us feel icky just buying from them because they don't even believe about the common law. We finally had it, and a few days back DH pick up the phone and ask our friends who got his cows. We went there today and bought 6 gallons of raw milk. DH the the owner got into little discussion and he was also thinking about quitting because the business is slow. Our friends costumers did not follow the cows there apparently. He is hurting and he doesn't even own the place. He is only renting it.

DH and I was thinking, maybe we can find other people to go with us and buy a property big enough for this cows and move the cows there that would be a lot better. We already have a farmer, he can live in the farm to take care of the cows and we will have a never ending supply of milk. Almost like P2V or V2V Migrations, not really because we are moving cows. The farmer can earn money buy selling organic eggs, meat, cheese and raw milk. We don't have really have planned lay out but we think it will work.

The problem is where to find people to put shares on doing this. We are getting sick of the government coming and putting this good/organic farmers out of business. Free market is a very good idea, and I know corporation people will not agree because they have to compete with tiny businesses. That is the beauty of it, plenty to choose from.

We should just move to the boonies where is not accessible for this people. You will need to fly a helicopter just to give me a message. That would be my dream. Self sufficient, off the grid living.

Time to Relax

No, not really. I have to go shopping for thanksgiving food for Thursday. I am so happy we got done with the lessons very early today. Of course we started early also. We even have time to make some Native American's hats and Pilgrim's hats. They enjoy the Native American's ones than the other.

Native AmericansAfter this I need to make a list on what else I need for the feast. We are not expecting much this year since my SIL got married and her new hubby is not getting along well with mine. Something to do with knowing everything/degree holder/right and wrong kind of stuff.

Anyway, have a great weekend everyone. Next week will be very busy for me. Classes will only for two days next week for my family because I wanted to cook desserts on Wednesday and clean the whole house too. I'm off to do my lists.

Many Idea to Post Not Enough Time

A month ago I told DH that we should make our day a 34 hour day. My 24 hour day is not enough for what the things I wanted to do. Then last night he told me that my idea sounds pretty good right now because he got so much things he wanted to do.

If only, that would be so nice. Well, anyway it's almost the weekend. Have to think of food to buy for thanksgiving and we are also having friends over that Saturday following thanksgiving. I am not looking forward to it. Maybe I'll request a day off for the kids on Wednesday to get the house clean and some dessert made before thanksgiving. I have until tomorrow to put the request for it.

My PIL is coming today to take 2 of my kids out. That means whoever is going will not get done with their lessons until later. I wish they do this over the weekend but like us they rather stay home on the weekend. It would nice too, because DH and I can have some time to ourselves. And in addition my ODS will go to a play/classical orchestra this weekend with SIL. I'm not really sure how much she paid for it but I heard it was pricey. It is supposed to be birthday and Christmas present for him since he plays the violin.

Have a great weekend, everyone! I know it's only Thursday but I am ready for the weekend. I am planning on sleeping for two days...lol, yea I wish.

What A Nice Day

We had a high of 66°F today. Of course my kids and I were outside playing and trying to soak up all the sun and vitamin C that we can get. Not to bad for the next few days because 55° F is pretty much tolerable in our area. And don't get me started with one of our neighbor, she will be out there in the thirties and regular clothing. However, she is much bigger than me and I think she have extra layers there to keep her warm. Even the wasps are out and about all over today. I killed a few of them, I don't want them making nests outside my own.

My in laws came to visit, as usual they brought us raw milk and as usual they are still not understanding what is really going on in our country. There is my PIL who can understand most of it and can never explain the other side of what we tell them, and my MIL who simply refuses to acknowledge that we are not free, that we don't have laws except for the common law and the constitution. That all others are not law (e.g. speed limit, taxes) but simply statutes, codes, and regulations. She is fine with all of it until it something is affecting her. It's ok for her not to wear a sit belt as long as other does. She is against us making our own hydrogen but she is fine with it when someone else (professional) can put it in her car for her own use.

She is amazing and I know plenty/many/lots of people is just like her. People will be for cleaner air but it does not bother them when they buy products that came all the way from China. Your SUV that you drive 15 minutes to work will be ban, but they don't ban the big freight that travels from Asia to North America. They will ban you for making a garden in your land to have your own food, but they don't see that by doing so they are making more pollution to our environment because of this big shipping lines. And you call yourself environmentalist, I think you people are just after the money like the government, churches and other organizations approved by government.

I take care of my environment but it does not bother me when property owner do something in their property. It's their property not mine, cut your own trees, make it as crappy as you want, I can care less. I do not tell you how to live your life but please stay from mine and everything that belong to me. What I do with mine is not your business and what you do with yours is not my business. But when you start telling others how to do things and make ridiculous regulations to accommodate what you want, we have a problem.

Food Goes to Our Toes

According to my 3 year old toddler, that is. We are eating dinner and everyone are talking and my I asked him where did the food go in his plate? He said inside my mouth, down my neck, to my belly and down to my toes.

He was so convince that the food goes down to his toes. Then DH thought for a second and he remembers saying the same thing when he was our son's age. He got a good memory not like me, I can't remember some things I did or say this morning...lol.

Looking at the Sky on Friday

Oh look! Plenty of power lines to see...lol. This is what happens when I don't stop and take a better pictures. I saw something up above and I can't zoom in my camera. You need to click the picture to see what I am talking about. I could have crop the picture but where is the fun on that...lol.

This is one block away from where I buy raw milk. Right on the stop sign. If you can see the watermarks, just look a little bit higher from the words and you will find it. Tell me what you saw...good luck. Happy Friday the 13th! Better be careful today.

My Maintenance Man

If something does work all of a sudden on your computer, trying re-starting it first. My Kinder's printer decided to stop working last week. I thought right away that he did something wrong but somehow he can't tell me what he did. Nope, I did not re-start the computer right away it took me a few days before thinking hard on what to do. Today I tried the scanner and it work just fine. I asked DH to check it out for me, he doddle for a little bit and asked me if I restarted it. Duh, I knew that, and why did I not try it first. I guess I'm not thinking hard enough or did I just think too hard...lol.

When DD got a new teacher on the third week of October she schedule a meeting through Elluminate. However, Java is not even installed on the computer and I had to install it before she can use Elluminate. I could not wait and just borrowed DS (3rd grader) pc to do the meeting. Last week is the first time she attended a live lesson for her grade. She wanted to answers some question that the presenter was asking. She got called just to found out that her mic and headphone was not working. Crap! What happens to plug in play stuff?

Today I asked DH to play with it and he can't find anything wrong with it. He just click buttons and did not change anything and not even 15 minutes he got everything working even the microphone. He said he did not do anything but check and look if everything is working. And they are all working.

Now, I think that DD's computer is a girl and just needed a man touch...ha ha ha...lol. I toggle with that stupid thing and almost throw it in the ground and DH sits there for less than 15 minutes and it works...argh.

Now she can listen to her music cd's (from school) and not bother anyone. And she can answer question using the microphone, unless it gives me another hard time when I touch it again tomorrow.

Thank you so much DH.

Something Big is Coming

So, what's up with the shooting inside military bases? You should stay away from any government establishment until something comes up. I am telling you something is coming and something big. I don't know what it is yet, but something to do with the politicians and our government.

A high ranking man start shooting innocent people, is not very innocent in my opinion. He knew something he probably refused to act on it, got very mad and you know the rest. Then our leader will come of some excuse to put a bill out that nobody can refused but sign it. More (against) on gun owners perhaps?

They are up to no good, I tell you.

Random Updates from "In This Life of Ours

Saturday was not a very good day. It rains off on and on and our kids did not go out to trick and treat until it was dark (7:30pm). We bought so much candy, DH and our kids end up eating all of them. We only have a few left and I am so glad they are almost gone. I can't stand such rambunctious kids around the house. Especially when can't go outside and play. They are giving me such a headache.

Sunday was and easy day. Monday came and DS had a speech session and she mentioned that we should have went to the mall to trick and treats. My answer was "no" because what is the point of that. Sorry, I like it when they can see our neighbors and get to know them. Yea, get to know your salesperson, "NOT".

Tuesday my Kindergartner had a dentist appointment and trying to explain why we don't want fluoride in their system is one way conversations and end up no where, very prostrated with the medical corporation at this point. Of course if everyone is just like me, how they can earn their high 6 figure salary, they can't if they can't sell all these stuff that are supposed to be good for our teeth. I will fall for that, if I can't read the ingredients they must be bad for anybody. We also voted and one of the local school board gave us a card to vote for them. We are done voting for this people who think they have authority over us and at the same time thinks that are much better than us. Shove off, you do not deserve anything from us.

I think DS had the last session for OT yesterday. It's good because I have one lady who works for the government that will come to my house. I hate when they come because I have to make my house presentable and I have to make sure I don't say anything that can be use against me and end up taking the rights (my limited rights) away from my own children. We also had two meetings with the kids teachers. I was over my head and can't figure out why, not until DH came home and noticed that I did not drink my coffee yesterday. That's why I can' handle the loads of lessons and meetings. I feel so bad because the kids got most of my prostrations...ahyayay! And guess what, I was able to make bread after all that chaos. I guess I work well under pressure.

I am much better today. No appointments to attend to, well not until next week. So, how is your week so far?
